Steve Hammers – President

Steve Hammers followed in his father’s footsteps as a young tyke learning all the knowledge he could in developing a design/build company. 25 years later, he continues to create a name for Hammers Construction while dominating the design/build business in the Front Range of Colorado. Having a keen sense of sales, business development and a passion for construction consulting, Steve sets the company’s professional tone for his clients’ vision during the inception phase of the project design/build process.

To ensure his place in the industry, Steve decided to get involved with land development, by purchasing and developing the land at the Claremont Business and Retail Park. Hammers Construction, Inc. became the first construction company in Colorado Springs to be a design-build construction company and a land development company. Through his dedication and effort, Steve led his team in selling over 55% of the park. Claremont Business Park is the only development that has platted, ready for sale lots in El Paso County zoned for commercial services.

Of his many awards, the most prestigious honor he has received was the National Republican Committee’s Business Advisory Council’s “2003 Businessman of the Year Award.”

Dave Hammers – Vice President

Brother of Steve, Dave’s operational expertise is critical to the day-to-day business production. His knowledge of his trade brings his clients’ projects to reality. He oversees the nuts and bolts of the leases, legal aspects, property management control, development consulting and management of each project manager to ensure all facets of each project are going according to projected budget and time-lines.

Dave is a vital and important part of the wheel that turns Hammers Construction, Inc. In his off-time, Dave is very involved in the community and serves as the President of the Cherokee Metropolitan Water District.

Jeremy Hammers – General Manager/Senior Project Manager

Jeremy has over 18 years of construction experience all of which have been spent working within HCI’s design-build method. As a construction and development consultant, he provides cohesive management from start to finish ensuring clients understand the precise time-line and dollar impact throughout every phase of a clients project. Among his many tasks, he provides accurate and relevant information to ensure clients make well-informed decisions at all stage of project development, including up-to-date estimating of project costs, scheduling, a countdown to your occupancy date, and red-flagging any items requiring owner action. His proactive approach keeps positive communication flowing throughout the project.
